Lenoir Nature Preserve,
Saturday, May 24

The Lenoir Nature Preserve is a new location for "Wildman" promising all the best of mid-spring's herbs, greens, flowers, and mushrooms.

The free program begins with a 30-minute demo, where "Wildman" will pass out and discuss plants he's picked up in his travels throught the greater NY area.

This will be followed by a 60-minute tour, where we'll look for herbs and greens such as chickweed, lamb's-quarters, violets, field garlic, and Asiatic dayflower in sunny, open areas.

In the woods, we'll look for pungent garlic mustard, root beer-flavored sassafras, sour greenbriar, and spicy ramps.
