There are dozens of delicious wild edible and medicinal wild herbs, greens, berries, and mushrooms growing in backyards and local parks in season in late summer. "Wildman" will bring many of them to the library in a family program, to discuss and share, and for you to taste. The family program will be followed by a public tour of nearby Forest Park.

You'll learn how to recognize and use these common, valuable renewable resources, plus related science, history, folklore, mythology, and "Wildman's" comedy and Brillophone playing. You'll never look at your local natural habitats the same way again!

The 60-minute family program begins at the Woodhaven Library at 10 AM, Saturday, September 13, at 85-41 Forest Parkway, Woodhaven, NY. A wild food and ecology tour of Forest Park follows.
The program is free. Call (718) 849-1010 for further information about the library program. No reservations are necessary
