Saturday, April 25

There are dozens of delicious wild edible and medicinal wild herbs, greens, shoots, and roots growing in backyards and local parks in season in early spring. "Wildman" will bring many of them to the library in a family program, to discuss and share, and for you to taste. The family program will be followed by a public tour of nearby Forest Park.

You'll learn how to recognize and use these common, valuable renewable resources, plus related science, history, folklore, mythology, and "Wildman's" comedy and Brillophone playing. You'll never look at your local natural habitats the same way again!

The 60-minute family program begins at 11 AM, Saturday, April 25, at the Woodhaven Library, 85-41 Forest Parkway, Woodhaven, NY. A wild food and ecology tour of Forest Park follows.
The program is free. Call (718) 849-1010 for further information about the library program. No reservations are necessary.
